We’re delighted to announce that Chapter RE has secured planning approval for 34 new social rent homes in Winsford, marking another important milestone in our work to bring forward high-quality residential development on brownfield sites.

The scheme will see the former Contour Showers factory site between Bakers Lane and Siddorn Street transformed into a new sustainable residential neighbourhood, delivering much-needed affordable housing for local people.

Chapter RE is acting as development partner for the delivery of the scheme, working closely with Weaver Vale Housing Trust as our Housing Association partner and Adderstone Living as our contractor partner.

The development will provide a mix of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes with funding from Homes England, helping to address a range of local housing needs.

The proposals have been refined through consultation and detailed design development, with improvements to the highway layout, parking, pedestrian connectivity and landscaping. High-quality design, shared surface streets and new walking and cycling links to Siddorn Street will create a well-connected, attractive neighbourhood and improve links with the surrounding area. 🚶‍♀️🚴

At Chapter RE, we focus on identifying opportunities, unlocking challenging brownfield sites and working collaboratively with landowners, local authorities, Housing Associations and contractors to turn those opportunities into deliverable housing schemes.

The Winsford scheme is a great example of that approach — taking a vacant and previously developed site and turning it into 34 much-needed affordable homes.

We’re looking forward to progressing the scheme with Weaver Vale Housing Trust and Adderstone Living and bringing the development forward to delivery.

A big thanks for the wider team for getting this one over the line;
